Remembering Rauschenberg

I bought a Rauschenberg piece and noticed that he passed away 3 years ago today so I thought it would be nice to give a shout out to him and his work. To be honest, I'm not all that familiar with his life's work but after looking at his extensive collection, I understand and appreciate his talent.

Steppin Out

Seavees takes a breather from the shoe dept. to make a carry-all bag and I'd say they've done a damn fine job. They collaborated with Strawfoot Handmade and the result is a well constructed bag made from heritage fabrics and materials. Well done gents.

Hotel Il Pellicano

I randomly came upon this book while running around town and the moment I saw Slim Aaron's name on it, I bought it. Slim's work is synonymous with showing how the rich and famous live and this book is no exception.
Il Pellicano was founded in 1965 by a couple of American socialites and continues to be a mainstay for celebrities, royalty, and anyone else worth a damn.
As much as I love Slim's work, I like how this book has 3 different photographers/perspectives who shared their favorite pictures of their time at Il Pellicano. John Swope and Slim tackle the early years while Juergen Teller lent his camera for the current years, which show the hotel's expansion but still maintaining its roots.

NOTE - These pictures showcase a bit of eating, antiquing, and drinking wine, aka things that my grandparents do. I apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause some.

free wine is the best wine and we got that. Bam!
