Badass Ninja

I'm going to the premiere of "Ninja Assassin" tonight. Haven't been this excited in a long time for a movie of this caliber...probably since Double Impact.

Dance Dance

I'm not talking about the shitty Fall Out Boy song but good dance jams. Some may be more on the disco side and others may be more on the soul side but who cares. Can you dig it?

Fishing With The Fox

This past weekend I flew back to Oklahoma to surprise my grandfather Pat aka "The Silver Fox," for his 80th birthday. My aunt had organized a weekend excursion to Lake Texoma to do some fishing for the weekend. Overall, the trip was a huge success and i actually caught some fish, which made me feel a little bit more like a man.

Shrimp Shop

A South Willard and Reference Library collaboration that promises to be a good time and have cool stuff from the likes of Crescent Down Works to Vintage Overalls. Looks like this is gonna be a weekend to spend some money...that I don't have. It's going down this Saturday from 2-4.
See ya there!

Shop Commune

From the folks that designed the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, and other cool projects, comes their new "community shop." It's a lot of collaborations with some of their own designs. Should be a good time....

Vampire Weekend Takes California

About a week and a half ago word spread about a free Vampire Weekend show at an undisclosed location. Hours passed and the band chose Hollenbeck Park, which is a little east of downtown I think. Anyways, although it was a Sunday and I tend to do nothing on the day of rest, I rallied with my buddy Ev and the minute we got there, we knew we made the right call. This free show was a warm-up of sorts for their 2 week swing of California.
It was an afternoon show and the pictures will prove that the weather and day was perfect for a concert.
As for the concert itself, VW put on a great show and I am anxious for their new album Contra.

When in Dallas

I was recently in Dallas for the big OU/Texas football game and although my Sooners lost, there was still some good times that took place in D-town. Some of my "go-to's" whenever iI am in Dallas include the following:

Burger House - amazing burgers and even better fries w/ their seasoned salt
Hotel Zaza - boutique hotel w/ great style in the heart of the city
Mecox - see below for proof why this store is a good one
