I^I

This house is great. I always see the owners working on it and adding tiles, which they have clearly made by their own hands. It makes me feel really worthless too that I will never be this creative/telented/etc.

Casa de Joseph

I met Joseph through my friend Kevin and have had the pleasure of spending some time with Joseph at his home. Joseph is a man of many talents but you would never hear Mr. Shuldiner boasting about his various talents. Aside from running the Institute of Domestic Technology, he has a cookbook coming out through Chronicle that is sure to be a major success.
I thought I would share some pics of his creative home/studio with you because it's truly a magical place.

this home was previously owned by a 60's artist that would host parties from Fuller to Einstein

...and he makes lamps and other art pieces

Home of An Artist

I went to an estate sale this past weekend and it turned out to be the home of a somewhat famous LA painter. I got some really cool paintings but the coolest part was that she had painted her walls. Her most famous picture was this one but a little too steep for me.

Steppin Out

Seavees takes a breather from the shoe dept. to make a carry-all bag and I'd say they've done a damn fine job. They collaborated with Strawfoot Handmade and the result is a well constructed bag made from heritage fabrics and materials. Well done gents.

We Headed North

These are just some of the pictures that I took during our trip to Napa this past weekend. We did a bit of everything and lookin forward to getting back there soon.
NOTE - These pictures showcase a bit of eating, antiquing, and drinking wine, aka things that my grandparents do. I apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause some.

free wine is the best wine and we got that. Bam!

masonic stuff creeps me out

Kisses

I know that I should be talking about all the new stuff going on with clothing due to Capsule but I've been going the music route over "trendy blogger clothing" as of late because there's just too much good music to listen to. My compadres Princeton have a side project called Kisses and I think they're on tap to being one of the breakout bands of 2011. Yes, that's a bold statement but the entire album is insane.

Rose Bowlin

Had some good sightings at this past Rose Bowl and also managed to find some good stuff along the way. It was funny seeing this guy and this guy running around with the rest of us.

Photographer's Eye

Nancy Neil is a really talented photographer who happens to run around the same crowd as I do. She photographed a wedding that I DJ'ed. When I showed my brother her work, he immediately contacted her to do his wedding.
So when I got a chance to see Nancy's place, I decided to take a couple pictures of my own (iphone style). And to top it off, she even made me a lamb burger for lunch. Boom!

old wood plus a nautical painting looks good to me

Land of A Million Clothes

Attempted to do some shopping at a huge warehouse of old clothes but the second I walked in, got insanely overwhelmed. I managed to walk away with a couple of caps and t's. I'm gonna stay away from naming the location and place because a couple designers and stores may get angry if I disclose the info. But, if you really want to know, send an e-mail or comment my way.
