Leslie Williamson's book is one everybody should have in their own personal library. It's a great book from start to finish. I recently stumbled upon Leslie's blog and was blown away by some outtakes and iphone pics she took.
I have tried to do more of posting original content but thought this was too good to pass up.

Dude Style

I've been trying to avoid the copy and pasting posts on here lately but these 2 houses are too good not to repost. First up, is Mr. Jay Carroll. He has the job we all want and now, he's got the house we all want.

Second, Mats Gustafson, an artist from Stockholm takes the NY Times into his digs.

Bruce Goff

Although Bruce Goff was born in Kansas, he spent most of his time in Oklahoma. He started learning architecture at the ripe age of 12 and continued to master his craft for many years. He worked on roughly 500 projects with about 20% actually being built.
Of all his tremendous work, I can't stop looking at the plans and pictures of one particular house : The Bavinger House
Suprisingly, I've actually been to this house as a friend of mine from college used to live there. Here are some pictures and plans to show you what I mean when I say this house is truly one of a kind.

thx joofy for the heads up on this one

Photographer's Eye

Nancy Neil is a really talented photographer who happens to run around the same crowd as I do. She photographed a wedding that I DJ'ed. When I showed my brother her work, he immediately contacted her to do his wedding.
So when I got a chance to see Nancy's place, I decided to take a couple pictures of my own (iphone style). And to top it off, she even made me a lamb burger for lunch. Boom!

another kitchen shot
old wood plus a nautical painting looks good to me

The Thirsty Crow

I recently stepped foot in The Thirsty Crow and was blown away by the drinks, decor, and overall vibe of this new Silverlake spot. Recently opened in the old Stinker's location, this is the latest venture from the people responsible for Bigfoot Lodge and Little Cave. The premise behind this new joint is on bourbons and "whiskey shots," which is a fresh breath of air.

the fable of Aesop
win and you get a free shot
industrial lighting throughout the spot (with a pulley system) is a nice touch

Wayne Coyne's Digs

Mr. Coyne has always had a peculiar taste and for those wondering what his actual taste in things like art, furniture, and other interiors, can now rest easy. This is definitely a unique home to folks around the OKC area, but props to Wayne for going 100% on complete weirdness.
