San Antonio

Quick trip to San Antonio to DJ a wedding. A couple things that to note...

-Liz Lambert sure knows how to do up a hotel. (see pic 1)
-The venue of the wedding was at the Argyle, which my grandfather used to deliver newspapers to as a youngin. (See pic 3)
-I think someone stole my jacket at the wedding reception...didn't see that coming. Not cool.

Trash to Treasure Furniture

I've seen some really cool furniture whose roots were made from thrown away parts. My favorite thus far have been from Sean Woolsey & GDB (Garza Design + Build). Some of you may know Garza's work from the cool furnishings from the Thunderbird Hotel in Marfa, TX.

Old School Charm

I recently had family in town and every time they come, my grandmother insists on staying at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The hotel itself has been around for a while and has a really cool vibe to it and embraces its heritage which is nice with all the crap hotels (SLS, and any other Bolthouse establishment) that are around this city.

Another classic beverly hills establishment : The Polo Lounge @ the Beverly Hills Hotel
** get the filet here...trust me.

La Maison Blanche

This was hands down the coolest hotel I have ever been to. Located in the middle of town in St. Tropez, this 9 room hotel is the place to be. The outside bar/restaurant was probably my favorite and it didn't hurt that a 19 year old DJ was spinning Nina Simone and other good oldies. Here are some pics if you don't believe me and yes, the rates are very reasonable for such a great spot. If it's good enough for the Prince of Holland (he was staying across from us), it should be good enough for you.
